The common misconception is that grout glues down tiles and stones. This is not the case—the magic adhesive in question isn’t grout or glue, but instead, thinset mortar. Thinset mortar is a tile setting material that provides bonding for tiles. It is a mixture of sand, cement, and chemicals and is available in white or grey. Compared to other adhesives, thinset is typically less expensive and faster to install than other mortar bed applications. At Centura Tools, we provide our customers with both mortars and thinsets, so they can find the best adhesive for their unique installation projects.
In addition to thinsets and mortar, we also provide grout by top brands like TEC in a variety of colours. Floor tile grout works to fill spaces between individual tiles and smooth over the gaps to create a flat and functional surface that looks aesthetically pleasing. Depending on your design preferences and the type of tile used for the wall or floor application, there are different types of grout to choose from.
